The Criterion of the Cassie–Baxter and Wenzel Wetting Modes and the Effect of Elastic Substrates on It

Controlling the wettability using microstructures has been studied because of many applications. In particular, bio-mimetic modeled after self-cleaning properties lotus leaf have extensively studied. Despite studies successfully achieving fabrication superhydrophobic to superhydrophilic surfaces through manipulation microstructures, effect rough on contact angle remains an area inquiry. this study, conical with well-defined geometric parameters are fabricated over a silicon wafer.
